Solitude and silence are probably the most needed of all spiritual activities for us to be restored, but it is probably the most uncomfortable for many of us – right next to fasting from food. Most of us can’t sit and be still without something engaging our minds like music, movies, news, or social media. It is hard to hear the voice of God and to experience his love and power when we are always so distracted. Just like deepening a relationship with a significant other or friend, if you are always looking at something else, listening to something else, you are not going to take in what they want to say very much. Listen as Pastor Chris explains why silence and solitude are so vital to deepening our relationship with Jesus and learn several practical applications to applying them to our lives.
