Have you ever had a time when God seemed far away?  It's in those "silent nights" when it's easy to think and even convince ourselves that He isn’t there, and He just doesn’t care.  But never confuse His silence with His absence.  The reason He came to earth is so that He would be WITH us.  His name says it all:  Immanuel, God with us!
