You know you’re rich, when your dad can afford Mr. T as your bodyguard.

Which is what Edward does for Ricky when he comes home from school with a black eye in S1E4: Me and Mr. T which aired on October 16, 1982.

In this episode Ricky insists on going to a public school so he can be more of a regular kid, but sticks out for being rich and gets a black eye from the school bully. Determined to not let Ricky get hurt, Edward hires Mr. T as his bodyguard.

You know back in 1982 we didn’t have anti-bully zones or a zero tolerance policy against bullying.

Can you imagine if Ricky had to deal with bullying on social media?

Yikes! You’d never be able to get away from it.

At least back then if if happened at school it stayed at school.
