Simeon has longed for the appearing of the Messiah. When he finally sees Jesus being brought to the temple, he rejoices for now he can depart in peace. His eyes have seen the Lord's salvation, which will be a light even to the Gentiles. Are we rejoicing in God's boundless salvation?
