Title: Simeon's Surprise
Text: Luke 2:22-35
Simeon was an ordinary Jewish man of the time. He longed for his broken world to be made right. He saw suffering and evil, and he recognized that only God could bring justice and peace. So he awaited the coming of God's promised Messiah who would make things right.
What makes Simeon unique is that God made him a promise that Simeon would not die until he could see this Messiah with his own eyes.
And on one fateful day, he did.
