Resilience and serendipity: how we built a biotech company.

In this talk Simon Kerry will focus on real-life examples of the journey that Karus made in taking the company from a University spinout to clinical-stage company, looking at the challenges and how these were addressed.

Simon is an experienced business expert who has managed a number of early stage life science companies, helping them to grow and achieve success. Simon was headhunted to become CEO of a University of Southampton spinout, Karus Therapeutics where he helped to build the company through a challenging time whilst securing a major investment. The business is now well regarded in the UK biotech sector as it works to transform the lives of cancer patients that no longer respond to other treatments.
