Our first guest on Season 3 of My Favourite Takeaway is chef, restaurateur and broadcaster, Simon Rimmer. Simon joined Tom and Cim from his home in the northwest, and opted for a delicious selection of dishes from the family-run Masala Lounge in Sale. As well as learning why one of these dishes would enrage future guest on the podcast, Atul Kochhar, we also discuss Simon’s unconventional approach to leftover pizza, the cinematic appeal of the American Chinese takeaway box, a bizarre melange of tinned food he threw together and fell in love with during lockdown, and plenty more besides.

Much to Tom's satisfaction, our latest guest gets down and dirty with some fried chicken, as comedian Ben Clark orders a 'three piece' and fries from the wonderfully named Favourable Chicken. Ben is one third of the award winning sketch group, Pappy's, who also have a range of podcasts under the banner of Pappy's Flatshare. Ben was great company, reflecting upon his time as a McDonald's employee, being sacked from a pizza parlour for mistaking mixed herbs for garlic and ordering sushi in Hastings which turned up in London. Classic!
