Simone Barros is a writer, director, and producer who studied at Tisch School of Arts at NYU, Cornell, and Emory.  She is the recipient of countless honors and awards including the Tisch Film Production Grant for writer/director and the Martin Scorsese Film Grant for writer/director. Her resume boasts of her work for popular shows on A&E;, Comedy Central, PBS and CBS.   When she is not working on her own projects she is helping her students to discover their talents and develop their skills in filmmaking. Simone’s warmth and generosity reflects deeply in this this episode.   For this time here, she is our teacher, and we are her students.
