We all want to do meaningful work.  None of us wants to spend our time on busywork.  Yet if you are anything like me, too often you get to the end of the day only to realize that while you were busy all day, you did not get to your most critical work.  Other times, you work hard on something only to see needs change. The good work you did is wasted.

It is impossible to be perfectly effective because the world is unpredictable and uncontrollable.  However, it is very possible to greatly increase your impact. To do so requires implementing and practicing just a short list of relatively simple changes.  This short list of changes will not ensure perfection, but it will increase your daily impact and satisfaction.
