The defining passage as far as eternal life is concerned is John 17:3, "Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." All paths throughout the Word of God lead to this truth. We have the incredible gift of knowing God and being in relationship with him.
