For over twenty years, Professor Marilyn Horowitz has been teaching her award-winning screenwriting system to aspiring and seasoned writers via courses at NYU and in private workshops. She’s also a TV show creator, producer, and writing coach who works with successful novelists, produced screenwriters, and award-winning filmmakers. But, like many of us who get into teaching, Marilyn struggled for years to give herself the time and space to start and complete her own creative passion projects. As she told me in this interview, the fix was so simple. But simple isn’t always easy.
