Simplify, Simplify - Thoreau
Morning breaks like a whisper low
Sunrise dances on the water's glow
The world spins fast but here it’s slow
Simplify simplify
Hear the loon and watch the sky
No more rush no need to try
Cabin walls hold the stories still
Logs and dreams on this quiet hill
A wooden chair by the window sill
The city fades it don’t belong
The lake hums soft a timeless song
Simplify simplify
The air is clean the pines grow high
I let the noise of life pass by
Bread in the oven tea in my cup
Chopping wood when the sun comes up
No gold no glitter no highway signs
Just these woods and a life that’s mine
