The paper has been publishing for 128 years in Grand Marais, Minnesota. We hear about Gulban’s optimism and investment in print journalism after purchasing the News Herald and another 26 newspapers across the country. Washington then speaks with acclaimed Twin Ports' author Linda LeGarde Grover about her latest book, “Gichigami Hearts: Stories and Histories from Misaabekong.” Grover also reads from the book, which discusses her roots and that of the entire Ojibwe people, including her ancestors’ sojourn in Madeline Island.
