Well, we didn’t make it through our whole message last weekend! So we are continuing our conversation on how we all need a standard to follow, a mechanism that brings certainty on matters of right and wrong. For too many people, they have drifted toward the cultural norm of every person finds their own truth. I get that. And for some things that are preferential, that’s important. You like to vacation in the mountains; I like to vacation at the beach. That’s true for each of us. But on issues of morality, are we going to say that each of us are allowed to create our own truth? Last week we talked more in depth about Scripture being our standard, especially on morality. This week, let’s talk about how we begin the journey of starting to do the things I should and stop doing the things I shouldn’t. Change is hard, but change is possible! And finally, we’ll pick up with some thoughts on how God uses consequences to guide us, not because He is angry with us but rather because He loves us too much to watch us move backward in life!
