Losing contact with his father for years due to war, surviving living in the woods for a month to living in a concentration camp and then in his home city with no electricity while dodging the death that was all around him. Eventually his family rejoined his dad and joined a refugee program relocating him from Bosnia to the hood of Atlanta where he and other Bosnians encountered a different type of danger, banded together and learned to survive becoming men, dodging the law and possible deportation and then finally settling down to the point where he is now as a great father, husband and man that survived what many wouldn't have!!
