Nic recorded this one late on a rainy Monday night, and it covers the week from Monday 19 to Monday 26 October. There's cooking with Stu, a bit of home organising and a lunch run, then a 3D printer that stopped feeding filament and didn't get better after a DIY fix attempt. A parcel is making its way through customs, and there's a morning spent photographing dog classes. Nic also spends a day at the Yarra Valley Bonsai Society show and sale in Chirnside Park and builds a spreadsheet of tours he'd love to join, then pitches his boss about them. A new 21st birthday enquiry lands late one night. And there's good news about getting the photography gig at the Lilydale and Yarra Valley Show. Under six minutes.
A quick catch-up on my week! Mum has a run-in with an gum nut, I pick up some exciting new camera gear, and there's a sausage night with Stu. I also help Mum set up her dog training, plus a few familiar faces drop by and there's a Costco run you won't want to miss. Grab a cuppa and catch up on everything that's happened since last time.
I forgot to hit record last week, so this one's a double: two weeks of catching up in one go. My photography website got a proper relaunch, I worked two very different photo booth gigs, and I had a group shoot with some very good (and very excitable) therapy dogs. There's also sourdough, a camera trip out to the tulips, a slightly too regular Macca's habit, and a free Adobe alternative that might be worth a look if you edit photos or video. Plus a Cash Converters story that didn't go to plan.
Grab a cuppa and catch up with me. See you next week, hopefully!
Cold Monday. Computers wiped and sped up for a friend. IKEA, Knox, Stu cooking, Joey vs the exploded globe under the stairs. Mum and dad three times, Murphster freshly shaved. Healesville market for honey, spring onions and a 1kg sweet potato. Brisbane won the Grand Final. I didn’t watch. Grill’d… a lot.
That’s the week. See you next Monday.
In Episode 2, I catch you up on a busy week filled with a rainy visit to William Ricketts Sanctuary, basketball team photography, organising my 3D-printing area and getting an expensive repair quote for my Sony camera. I also help a neighbour with her new TV and Wi-Fi, do some cooking and finish the week with a huge day photographing the Melba and Kilsyth basketball grand finals—followed by a well-earned lazy Sunday.
Welcome to the very first episode of Since Last Time with Nic! In this casual catch-up, I chat about celebrating Father’s Day and my 27th birthday, learning the StoneBlock 3 Minecraft modpack, reorganising my home, improving my spending habits, working at a photobooth event in Broadmeadows and preparing for a massive basketball team-photo day. It’s an easygoing life update—like catching up with a friend.
