Excerpt of the Podcast:

John Kremer:

“In your diary, you said that the only way to break the bond of thinking is to take sincere action, action that lets me be real in the smallest things. Now, that's a little bit different than what you say. Or at least it sounds different than what you say when you say, "Allowing for the totality of what arises."

Louis Koster:

“Yep.”

John Kremer:

“Which you say is what breaks the bond of thinking also.”

John Kremer:

“But here you're saying that you can break the bond by taking a sincere action. I'm a little confused about what that means.”

Louis Koster:

“Well, it's very contributing what you bring up here in the conversation, is that, and thank you for that. So let's say sometimes I find myself in the middle of it. It might be a consideration that I have about a person, and the thinking works this way, very condescending or diminishing or whatever the thinking might come up. And so one way to step out of it is actually take action, that is not of the thinking.”

“And it might be just reaching out to that person or saying hi or in a work situation to go to a person and say, "Hi, how are you? So what's up for today? Is there anything that I can do for you today?" Or something like that. That action would completely take away, blow up whatever the mind is going on about. So in that sense, that came up for me when I wrote that.”

John Kremer:

“So even a small action can sometimes just break up the duality and allow for a more legitimate interaction between two people.”

Louis Koster:

“Yes. Yeah, it's like a pinprick in a balloon of the thinking, in that bubble that sometimes takes hold of us.”
