Winter has come to Hawklor, unlike in another fantasy series it came very very quickly leaving some people trapped in the Snow. It falls to sir croakington to save them.

She also comes across a powerful mage who is no help at all and instead sends her on a gather x quest. Although admitted she forgot to tell him about the whole people freezing to death thing.

As she explores she finds whole new types of foe to slay.
