Sister Cabrini Makasiale - Pacific Living without Violence Program

Sister Cabrini Ofa Makasiale is a Fijian born Tongan from the island of Lau now living in a community of Catholic sisters in Auckland.
She is fluent in Fijian, Tongan and English and is a Registered Psychotherapist and staff member of Catholic Social Services in Otara, South Auckland.
Sister Cabrini is a NZ trained teacher who holds tertiary qualifications in counselling, psychotherapy, spirituality, theology and group facilitation and through her extensive knowledge and long experience working in the community has developed the “Pacific Living without Violence” programme.
   
She also holds a special passion for fostering leadership roles for Pasifika peoples (especially women) in the “Pasifika Way” adapted to the New Zealand Aotearoa context.
  
She was awarded Pacifica Excellence award for Education in the Community from the University of Auckland (2006).
