Ch’Lu self-recorded and produced this song for her little sister during the first Covid lockdown, so she could feel connected to her whenever she listened to it no matter how far apart from each other they physically were. Ch’Lu then soon realised that the song was a necessary reminder for all sisters: in essence, all women everywhere in the world throughout time. It became a song to inspire sisterhood, solidarity, protection and connection, awakening the feminine aspect in every human being, drawing us forever closer and part of one another. Ch’Lu uses her signature fusion of ethereal harmonies, classical guitar arpeggiation, transformational field recording and Zeitgeist beats. The single artwork comes from photo outside a shop called “Sister” in Thailand with her sister.
Ch’Lu’s accompanying music video for "Sister I'll Be There" is due also out this April for National Siblings’ Day (April 10th). It was shot in half a day in Cornwall on a zero budget, also during lockdown, by the talented Vee Vimolmal (who has now created four music videos for Ch’Lu). The music video features stunning coastal scenery enveloped with Ch’Lu’s Nunchaku drills.
