Women make up 15% of the 1% of our population that serves in our nation's Armed Forces. We know that it is our uniforms that connect us, but it is our stories that bind us in Sisterhood. It is this Sisterhood that we reach out to when we are at our most vulnerable - deployed, transitioning, launching a new business, or facing divorce or a health crisis. In this series, we talk about how important The Sisterhood is to military women and women Veterans. In this segment, US Army Veteran Christie Speights shares how she sat on her idea to start a magazine that celebrated the accomplishments of military women. That is until she couldn't fight the urge any longer. Her magazine, Women Who Serve will go from a quarterly to a monthly publication in 2018 because Christie has discovered the Sisterhood is full of amazing women with incredible stories worthy of celebrating.
