Dr. Howard Haft is an expert on the two topics discussed in this episode - Primary Care and Public Health. More importantly and what makes this conversation so compelling is that Dr. Haft did not spend his entire career in state government – not that that is bad of course…but Dr. Haft actually started his career in primary care, and in fact, was the CEO of a medical group – so, and here is what is important - Dr. Haft has lived experience in both areas we are about to discuss today.
Bonus material - Dr. Haft's latest publication - Considerations for Statewide Advanced Primary Care Programs

What are the "REAL" value and costs of healthcare? Is it only the cost of your physician visit, hospital stay, and/or prescriptions? And, who decided on these costs?

Better, Dr. Spangler and his team depend on hearing from you - our listeners, to share your experiences with the healthcare system to help Dr. Spangler's company learn more about the true "value" in our healthcare system to make a major "health equity" shift in the system to factor in all the "costs" of healthcare, especially in the communities in need and people of color in the US.
