I thought I had all there was to God!

I was given 20 minutes on stage during the Akron Women on Purpose conference this year to tell my life story. I shared about my Christian childhood and perfect Christian resume - and how it began to crumble when all of my serving and doing couldn’t keep up as I became a mom. Yet during this crash, God taught me the craziest lesson- He didn’t need anything from me. And my view of who He was and why Jesus came was incomplete. Spiritually, I was just sitting in a lobby, missing the rest of the resort.
