Sitting on the floor indicates to a person's humbleness. sitting on the table indicates to pride.

not to say that it's not permissible to sit at the table and eat but we should try to practice on each Sunnat and bring humbleness into our lives.

the Dunya should mean nothing to us. The Aakhirat is our final abode, and we should keep that in mind
