Lawrence Villwock lived his entire life in a farm house along the Rock River, just a stones throw away from the Horicon Marsh.

I stopped by to visit with Lawrence to learn a little more about his memories of my family, as our Muche family homestead (where my grandfather grew up) was just a half mile down the road in what is now the Horicon Wildlife Refuge.

Lawrence was a wonderful storyteller and I enjoyed sitting with him in his home as he reminisced of his past experiences and memories.
