In the United States, Simple Minds are largely known for their absolutely perfect 80s pop masterpiece, Don't You Forget About Me, but that's not particularly representative of their career or sound or abilities as musicians and songwriters (in fact, they didn't even write that song.) They've been experimental, synth-poppy, big bandy, and much more - mixing in a variety of influences into their work through their four decade's long career.
