Siya est née en Californie mais grandit à Brooklyn, à New York, ville qu’elle représente fièrement. Mise à part qu’elle n’est pas le genre à porter des perruques colorées, cette jeune artiste est la femcee dont l’histoire se rapproche le plus de beaucoup d’acteurs du Hip Hop au masculin. Sans trop nous attarder sur le fait qu’elle ait fait de la prison et que son corps soit marqué de tatouages de gang, il n’est pas trop risqué de dire que Siya apporte une touche au Rap féminin qui manquait peut-être. Un caractère moins Barbie, plus cru, moins « M’as-tu vu? », mais plus « Écoute ca! »
