Read through John 3:16-36. Share what the passage reveals to you about God, about humanity, and about following Jesus. Then discuss some or all of the following questions:

1. Nick and Jamie discuss how we often superimpose our earthly father's characteristics onto God. How has your relationship with your earthly father influenced your perception of God? What aspects of this perception might need healing or reconsideration?
   
2. John 3:16 is described as summarizing the gospel in one verse. Beyond simply knowing this verse, how has your understanding of God's love for "the world" (not just believers) challenged or changed your approach to those who don't share your faith?
   
3. The podcast distinguishes between viewing eternal life as something that begins after death versus something we participate in now. Where do you see evidence of God's eternal life operating in your daily experience, and how might you more fully engage with it?
   
4. The speakers present different understandings of God's judgment and wrath, suggesting it may be more about the natural consequences of choosing darkness over light rather than God's anger. How does this perspective change your understanding of passages about God's judgment?
