                    • Don’t just replace the role that is leaving
                      • Look at the opportunity to upgrade your talent
                      • Upgrade your talent by splitting up your functions
                      • Don’t replace what you’re losing, upgrade with the open spot
                      • Sometimes people move on when they feel they are now “overqualified” for the role

                      • Different generations learn and teach differently
                        • Traditional roles are going to shift

                            • Just because you’ve learned something before, doesn’t mean you need to know the answer every time. You have a supercomputer in your pocket.

                              • Your talent now has to be agile
                              • If your team doesn’t have the skills to operate in the current environment, you’re setting yourself up to struggle from the beginning
                              • How-to videos are a good thing!
                              • “We are now living in the application world of training, rather than the nuts and bolts” -B
                              • Great talent takes their knowledge with them unless you have an ongoing system in place to capture that knowledge as it’s created
                              • Make process documentation part of the company culture
