                  • Wasn't impressed with some organizations and lack of money transparency and what it was being used for
                    • Nonprofits need to be transparent and not take advantage of donors
                    • Her way into UPAF
                      • Started in marketing but wasn’t a good marketer
                      • Wanted to get back to working with people (nonprofit world for her)
                      • Joined UPAF in May 2019 as their Director of Development and Leadership
                        • Works with Leadership Donors, Foundations, and planned initiatives

                          • Been around for 5+ decades in south eastern WI
                          • Work to power and fund 14 committees - including theater, ballet
                          • Bringing in money to keep these organizations running
                          • Allocate funds yearly

                            • Strong leadership board, financial committee, executive committee, and internal team studying the allocation process
                            • Groups need to submit applications annually
                            • Making sure groups are responsible with their funds each year
                            • UPAF has a 4 star charity navigator

                              • Recognises nonprofits for being responsible with how they allocate/use funds
                              • Adds a level of credibility and validation
