Daily Ski Conditions for Catamount Mountain Resort
Get ready to hit the slopes at Catamount Mountain Resort As of today, January 27th, the mountain is looking great with 32 out of 44 trails open and 7 out of 8 lifts running. The current snow depth at the base is 6 inches, while the summit boasts a healthy 36 inches. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any new snowfall in the last 24 hours, but the machine-groomed trails are still providing excellent skiing and riding conditions.
The weather today is mostly cloudy with a high of 35 degrees and winds ranging from 9 to 16 mph. It's a perfect day to get out and enjoy the mountain, especially in the morning when the trails are at their best. However, be aware that the high moisture content in the snow can make it a bit icy in spots, especially in the afternoon when the sun starts to set. To avoid this, head towards the edges of the trails where the groomed surface snow has been pushed, or explore less steep trails that tend to get scraped off less.
Looking ahead to the next few days, the forecast is calling for a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures ranging from the mid-20s to mid-30s. There's a 30% chance of snow showers on Tuesday and a 70% chance on Wednesday, so keep an eye on the weather if you're planning to visit later in the week.
