Samantha Lurie, is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Show Me The World Project, a nonprofit dedicated to providing life changing educational opportunities to students from under-resourced communities at home and abroad.Under her leadership, the Show Me The World Project has grown to support over 150 students and 24 educators across 8 schools. Samantha has led the evolution of, The Show Me The World Project into a comprehensive program that integrates science, leadership, cultural immersion, and entrepreneurship.
Previously, she worked as a Special Education teacher at Vashon High School and the Dean of Students. In 2015 she was named St. Louis Public Schools Special Education Teacher of the Year. She is also a Teach For America (TFA) St. Louis alum and previously served as the Managing Director of Alumni Network Leadership for TFA Metro Atlanta. Samantha champions the philosophy that every student deserves a global classroom, transforming not just educational outcomes but lives.
