This week the Motivated Martial Artists Jackson White and Gavin Cook talk to Clayton Maxcy. Lead Curriculum Developer for SKILLZ and Teacher at On the Mat Martial Arts.
When Clayton Maxcy was young he was a troublemaker and struggled to focus in lots of his classes he tried to take up many different sports like american football and basketball but never took a liking too them and was never passionate about them. Until one day when he was 8 years old in the third grade his dad decided to take him to a martial arts lesson to learn skills like discipline and control, little did his father know this was just the start to Clayton's martial arts journey.
Clayton is now Lead Curriculum Developer for SKILLZ and Teacher at On the Mat Martial Arts and has had over 12 years of hands-on experience working with kids of all different backgrounds which has allowed him to build out the best drills/games possible for SKILLZ.
Tune in this week to hear some interesting stories and inspiration from very enthusiastic Clayton Maxcy and help to progress your instructor skills.
