Too many Christians are rattled by the slavery verses in the bible and some have even left the faith over misunderstanding God's plan to use slavery to end slavery. Many people believe the Old Testament system of slavery to be the equal of the american south's chattel slavery. I show a plethora of verses that prove that isn't true and then show how these verses moved Israel away from the ancient world's normal cruelty and helped set the stage for abolition via Christ.
