Sleep Hygiene | Dr. Irshaad Ebrahim

Listen Later

In this episode of SIYB I sat with Dr. Irshaad Ebrahim who is a well- known Neuropsychiatrist and an expert in sleep disorders. He gained his degree in medicine from the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine in South Africa and is currently working from London. He established the London Sleep Centre in 2002 and was the first NHS appointed Neuropsychiatrist in sleep disorders.

He travelled and learned his craft - doing research in Canada and eventually moving to the UK. His practice- the London sleep centre is one of few sleep centres located around the globe where doctors assist patients in battling their sleep disorders. It’s pretty revolutionary. Sleep is a great part of our lives and its importance is often underestimated.

This conversation was pretty cool for me. I learnt a lot about the mistakes I’m making in my daily life and how I can gain access to better sleep. This episode is only a part of the whole conversation that was planned. Hoping to record further and talk more about sleep disorders, memory and the brain in detail.

Don’t forget what the bedroom is meant for…

Thanks for listening!

Change the mindsets of those around you. Be it the old or young. Don’t forget that the old raise the young so let’s not give up on the previous generation. It’s our turn to be the next CEOs, presidents, politicians, teachers and leaders of the world. Let’s make sure we make an effort to sculpt a better future for ourselves and for those to come after us.

This is our world. Please try and help causes, movements and communities in need whenever you can. Foregoing a future Saturday lunch to pay for a child’s monthly ration goes a long way. Sacrificing that new bag to provide food for a family for a week goes a long way.
