Last week, we discussed sleep on Useful Advice from Neurolab - Sleep meeting. "What I found really fascinating, is how incredibly rhythmical we are." - was the feedback from one of the participants. It surely reflects an impression we all received during the discussion. Together with Zdeněk Scharnagl and Tigran Arsenyan, we discussed neural substrates of sleep and Circadian rhythms, how many systems, such as feeding, sensory perception, social behaviours, interact with the sleep cycle. And, of course, the individual techniques of how to increase the quality of sleep and life respectively!
