On Episode 23 of SouthernLive Gumbo, we discuss our extended hiatus and why things have taken so long to get back on track. I touch on hot topics like Kurt Franklin and his Stomp Remix starring his son, the growing cases against Deshaun Watson and The Verus of all Versus battles despite Steve Harvey. 

We visit our pot to see what's cooking, as we discuss the path we all walk when transitioning life and specifically how myself and other veterans have navigated it. The need to share the successes and the failures to allow eyes to be pressed onto every scenario that could happen to us in the future.

We visit the spiritual garden to talk about the importance of not planting dead flowers. Investing in leaders and giving them the knowledge and understanding to work in your shoes without giving them the opportunity, is tantamount to planting seeds into the ground and then blocking the sun so they're never allowed to grow. It's just planting dead flowers.

Lastly we discuss the recent sports landscape, my eternal battle with pollen and how life with COVID will be much different in the south than it is inside the cities up north.
