Let's slow dance until midnight,

let me just hold you tight,

with no rush to go home.

in these moments we own

then we'll see what the rest

of the evening will bring

even though the next morning

might find us alone,

Or we may spark a romance

like we've never known,

It all starts with slow motion

both of our bodies swaying

and the notion that we both

truly want to be staying

locked in each others arms

as the band keeps on playing.....

keeps on playing.....

All around us couples meet and part

clinging for just a short while

then they vanish in between the songs

sharing very lonely smiles

but we have found a common ground

as we dance across this floor

while conversing of the things we love

and deciding we want more…..

Lost in your embrace

and your lovely face

I see promise in your eyes

and when the music fades

let us slip away

to share some tender kisses

beneath the starry skies

and explore the love we

both found at first sight

I know we’re both

weary of being alone

Let’s take it slow

just like we’ve danced

and see what tomorrows bring

making plans for us to meet again

for some dinners and

some more dancing

long conversations

and the joyous relations

of being who we were

both Meant to be

you and me baby….

Slow dancing every

week till midnight

cause we both know

that it feels so right

and anything less means

more lonely nights

but for now let’s hold

each other tight

and dream of all the

might’s and maybes

yet to come…………
