Halloween is this week, and all the little spookies are gearing up for trick-or-treating! This week on SPML, we're diving into Children's Horror, sharing some of our favorite spooky movies that kids and parents can enjoy together. Brad couldn't join us this week (don't worry, he'll be back!), but he did send in a list of recommendations that might actually scar a few children for life. Grab your candy buckets and settle in for some family-friendly frights... mostly.

This week on Slumber Party Massacre Luncheon, we’re joined by Chris Long and Veronica Wirges of Monsterboy LIVES to talk music, horror, and their upcoming multimedia experience, Monsterboy LIVES: “In The Backrooms”, happening October 25th at Dedicated Visual Art Studio in North Little Rock!

Drawing inspiration from the novel A Cosmology of Monsters, this thing goes way beyond a regular concert, featuring live circus performers, macabre visuals, and music built to drag you somewhere a little darker. We get into the band, their sound, their horror influences, and what the hell audiences can expect when they step into The Backrooms.

Then we turn our attention to Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, because obviously we can't have a horror-themed luncheon without talking about some good old-fashioned hillbilly mayhem.

It's music, monsters, horror movies, and a whole lot of weirdness with the folks bringing it all to life.

The crew digs into the movie’s bizarre story, unforgettable performances, questionable costumes, horrifying food, and the strange legacy that turned this infamous flop into a cult classic. How bad is it really? How did this thing become legendary?

The Review Crew dives into Deep Blue Sea (1999) — genetically engineered sharks, questionable science, Samuel L. Jackson, and one hell of a bad day at the research facility.
