That leads us into the idea of a message essentially containing its own instructions for understanding it, and what an actual conversation with another civilization might look like when that civilization could be hundreds or thousands of light-years away.

We get into MatrAIx, Persona 8B, artificial intelligence, consciousness, perception, identity, and whether reality is really as straightforward as we assume it is.

The more we get into it, the more the two subjects start running into each other. How does one intelligence communicate with another completely different intelligence? What happens when the intelligence we're trying to understand isn't human? And whether we're talking about extraterrestrials or AI, how much of what we call reality is simply based on how our brains interpret information?
