In the bible, new testament church especially, nothing is one dimensional, there is always another side to the coin. Commands such as "Women obey your husband" is followed by "Husbands love your wives as Jesus Loved the church". Commands on disciplining your children are followed up with an admonishment not to frustrate your children or setting them up to fail. It is the same way with Faith. The other side of Faith is works, alone neither one can do anything.
