Throughout the Old Testament, the phrases “a pleasing aroma,” and “an aroma pleasing to the LORD,” are used repeatedly.  God Himself used those words to describe the faithful offerings and sacrifices that were made.  They foreshadowed the perfect sacrifice to come that God Himself would make for the sins of the world – and for you and me.
