  • Ep105/400: Let's Continue To Inspire Each Other!

I put the 400 in there because, as you'll hear in this l'il 5 minute podcast, we now have 400 total episodes over the past several years. It's all because of YOU and your support. I do believe the topics we discuss - and they're all inter-related under the umbrella of living our best lives and treating ourselves and others well - are inspirational. Hopefully to you as I know they inspire me; reminders of how to get back on track when things go askew. I sincerely appreciate your comments and overall feedback and would ask you to please subscribe; it keeps everything going. Love all y'all for real, and yup, those are my boys in the thumbnail!

  • Ep104: Peace of Mind (How To Find It and Keep It!)

Peace of Mind... not just a great song by the band Boston, but something we dearly need in our lives. Kind of in the "take a break" category but also more encompassing. Peace of mind is more of a lifestyle change and concerted effort to chill and be happy in our own skin. Anyhoo, this l'il podcast points out seven ways to find it and keep it. Credit to verywellmind.com and you know I love all y'all!

  • Ep103: The Most Powerful Skill We Can Develop!

The most powerful skill we can develop is in staying in control of our situation. Rather than react to others, let's be the boss of ourselves and act - not react. It may take a while for us to develop this skill but it makes all the difference over the course of our daily lives. To use an analogy, let's be the thermostat (in control) rather than the thermometer (the receiving end of it all). Makes senses so let's give it a whirl for a happier more positive life. Love all y'all. PS Yup that's my son Brendan (in the episode pic) who I love mucho and who is loved by all!

  • Ep102: Let's Choose Our Sources Wisely!

Everything is a distraction today isn't it? We are bombarded from all sides - and from all forms of media - telling us what to believe, how to react, even how to live. It never ends. Here's my reminder to all of us to choose our sources wisely and get the garbage out of our minds and consequently out of our lives. Whether it's toxic media, toxic people, or even the rabbit holes we go down and wonder why... it's just not worth the aggravation and the negativity. Choose wisely and simplify. Love all y'all!

  • Ep101: Thankfulness Is A Mindset!

Thankfulness isn't a result of our situation; rather, it's a mindset despite our situation. It's a choice. So rather than look back on our yesterdays with lament let's be thankful for the experience that made us better. In the now let's be thankful for what we're doing and for the opportunity. Most importantly let's be thankful for things in the future as if the outcome has been inn our favor already. A form of manifestation if you will. Anyhoo it works and let's remember this ok? Ok. Love all y'all!

  • Ep100: It's Not Always About The Alcohol (Social Butterfly!)

For Episode 100, I wanted to touch on a subject that recently came to light from a simple comment Beverly said to me. In essence, she pointed out that many of us don't drink because we crave alcohol, but we do crave social interaction. Perhaps this is you and it certainly is me. Social media is rife with sobriety coaches (I really like @soberdad on Insta and TikTok) and apps if you've noticed. Believe me, that's awesome, but I think it's rarely approached from the viewpoint of our need to be among others and alcohol being a secondary thing in that setting. I do feel can manage it once we get a handle on it. Does that make sense? Hope so; give this 7 minute pod a listen and let me know your thoughts. Love all y'all!

  • Ep99: Be Proud Of How Far You've Come!

In everyday life, we often forget to stop and reflect on how much we've accomplished - how far we've come along the way. In these times especially, the media, etc try to "dumb us down" and make us feel irrelevant or try to make us feel guilty about who we are and what we've gotten in this life. So let's feel good about ourselves - block out all the naysayers - and realize that we truly are special and that we're not finished becoming the best version of ourselves. Love all y'all!

  • Ep98: How To Increase Our Aura

Here are 10 tips on how we can increase our "aura"; our presence perhaps, when we're around folks. In a meeting, walking into a room, at a party, etc. It helps us be more confident in a group setting, and people truly do notice. Not sure if I concur with all 10 of these, but thought I'd throw them out there regardless as they are interesting and, hopefully some (if not most) we can all use in a group setting. Let me know your thoughts and... I love all y'all!

  • Ep97: Confidence Is Everything (In Every Way!)

Indeed, confidence is everything, and yes, in every way. The words we use, the way we dress (look good, feel good, right?), our demeanor - every little bit of it adds up. Not only do these things form a lasting impression on others, but darn it, it makes us feel so so much better about ourselves. As I always say, thanks for liking, subscribing, all that jazz and know that these reminders help me to stay on track... and hopefully add value to your day as well. Love all y'all!

  • Ep96: Our Jobs Are Not Our Lives! (Audio Version)

Our jobs are not our lives, right? Take your lunch break, relax during after-hours. Enjoy your weekends or whenever you get a block of time away. As important as anything, use your PTO and sick days (use it or lose it at many places). We agree to do our jobs in exchange for pay and benefits. We didn't sign up to sell our souls and sacrifice our personal lives. By all means, love your occupation, but let's love ourselves more. Speaking of which, I love all y'all!
