Smithically Speaking

Robin and Andy Hasenpflug are musicians making their living in Pittsburgh. We talk about their lives and musicians and parents in their home in Aspinwall.

I sit and talk with Suzanne amongst her art in her apartment in Millville, PA.

Kirsten Kelly, an Emmy award-winning documentary filmmaker, discusses her upbringing in the arts and her switch from stage directing to film directing.

Corrie and I met in college in the theater department and have been able to keep in touch long-distance because of social media.  She is currently writing a Young Adult novel and getting some of her children's books published.   Listen here how Corrie finds her inspiration, and how she uses her creative energy in all aspects of her life.

Creativity is something that we have all been endowed with...but how many of us are using our creativity? Listen in on my upcoming conversations with people using their creativity in many different ways. It's my hope that all of my listeners will finally acknowledge and use the creativity they were born with.

We tie up all the loose ends from our previous conversations today and discuss the research behind happiness, and how this helps us understand how we can set goals and stick to them. This is a fun way to end our conversation and Heidi and I want to hear from you if you've incorporated anything new in your life by listening to this series.

Today we try to describe Hygge...easy to do, difficult to describe!

In today's episode, Heidi and I deep-dive into the concepts in the book The Blue Zone Solutions and discuss ways we can create our own Blue Zones in our families and communities.

My first of four conversations with Heidi Nicholls, a personal trainer and lifelong student in hygge and happiness.
