Not every bourbon story is a banger.  Sometimes a bourbon comes out of the barrel and it's just not quite right.  That's what we thought about Smooth Ambler's Old Scout Bourbon to be honest.  Then something peculiar happened ... we tried it again.  The second time didn't feel like the first time in the slightest.  The nose was different, the palette was different and dare I say the finish was nice!?!  We supposed it could have been that we allowed the bourbon to breath a bit or we'd had some tongue altering beverage or food item before tasting it originally.  Could be, we supposed.  Did we end digging it or tossing it?  Listen to find out.
