Jesus is an excellent example of how we cannot trust our feelings. He knew about his own crucifixion, and I’m pretty that his human flesh didn’t want to go because the same people he loves going to betray, mock him and crucify him. But yet he prayed “nevertheless not my will but your will” Some of us lives our life base on how we’re feeling. Today you’re up and tomorrow you’re down.
So you only operate when you’re feeling good or in the mood. How lukewarm is that! Jesus (as a human tried too, was sad too and having the same feeling that we have. But yet he did the will of God “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Trust God with your feeling even when you don't want to is an act of obedience.
