Today's topic on SMME is on having no emotional support. Whether you are a parent with full family support, minimal support, or no support there are emotions that we keep to ourselves, because sometimes we may have physical or financial support but very little mental/ emotional support. Unfortunately in this world that is pretty common. An its even more common to say society has normalized it in some way because we do have other resources such has therapy that we can seek for emotional support in some way. There are many forms to cope with our emotions. With this topic, I am sharing my experiences as a single mom when it comes to having no emotional support.
Dating, that word, there is a lot to that word when you become a single parent that comes to mind. Being that I , the host, am a single mom, the dating life has always brought so many mixed emotions for me through the years. This episode isn’t to discuss the “right” or “wrong” way to date whether it’s being a parent or not. This episode is to express all the emotions a single mom has when dating and how the emotions can take a toll on a person's mental being.

This episode was created for the purpose of sharing my work environment experiences being a single mom and how overwhelming it can be balancing it. With that being said its no secret that adulthood consist of making income to survive.
Over the years I've learned that you work environments can also be your village being a single mom. The reason I say this is because when you communicate effectively and have a game plan and it doesn't affect any productivity your work environment can also be your support system , because with out their team they couldn't operate without us. Yes they can hire new staff to replace you, but do you think they want to start that process all over again an loose a good employee, no, they do not. So with this episode I am sharing my experience being a working single mom.

This episode was inspired my own personal experience of pursing academic goals on top of the daily activities as an adult. A lot of these experiences were irrational and phenomenal; the main goal is to share personal experiences on hopes that it encourages other in any positive way or learn from my experiences. Pursuing academic goals for any individual whether being a parent or not is a challenge journey, but it is one well worth it.

Holidays are about creating memories, spending time together, keeping up holiday traditions; though many households have made it a tradition that every child deserves a gift for certain holidays. Holidays can get pretty emotional for single moms/parents an it’s not even the financial part that makes holidays emotional for some. Holidays can feel lonely even when you have your holidays filled with fun events. Holidays are stressful, but they are also the most heart warming moments you and your child/ children will always get to experience for the rest of your lives, and it is very much possible to enjoy these moments even when a parents life is chaotic during the holidays.

As a parent we want to give our children the world, and that means exploring the world with them too. Exploring the world doesn't mean just traveling to another state or country; exploring adventures are also going to the park, the beach, going for an ice cream cone, going to events in your community that are family oriented, and kid friendly. This episode will be going over the following: social anxiety, searching for events, and encouraging other mum to break out and go out more. SMME Remedy Playlist : Spotify – SMME REMEDY PLAYLIST
This episode was inspired by the movie Baby Momma, because there is nothing wrong with being a single mom, whether it's by choice or not. There's a saying, "It takes a village to raise a child/ children." sometimes that means your village is your family and friends. Sometimes it can also means your village is your work environment and other resources, and sometimes your village is yourself and all those other components which is okay. Being a single mom doesn't mean dysfunctional family, single parent doesn't mean dysfunctional family.
