I took my kids to see this updated version of Snow White, and we all thought it was fantastic. The movie felt comfortable and familiar because of the scenery, yet it was novel and fresh because of Snow White's empowerment. Gal did her best to keep up with Rachel's lovely musical talent, which was right because of her gorgeous voice. My kids and I loved every minute! Although I am aware that Snow White's being "white" has angered some, the film explains how she came to be known by that term. Ultimately, it's a reinvention of the original, even though it's not the same. A departure from the original is acceptable.
