Shane Gorrell is a seasoned treasure hunter based in Washington State, with a passion for exploration that began at age 13. In 1980, he started packing a gold dredge for his father in Oregon's mountains, fueling a lifelong fascination with Southwestern treasures. As a teenager, Shane roamed with a Whites metal detector, chasing placer gold in iconic locations like Gaines Creek, Alaska, and California's American River. After retiring as an operations manager at Samson Tug and Barge in Alaska, he dove deeper into researching treasure maps, books, and legends. With newfound freedom, Shane hit the road in 2020, towing a campervan and his paramotor to Arizona, driven by a bold belief that he could locate Montezuma's fabled Lost City of Gold.

A fearless adventurer, Shane documents his finds—intricate Aztec carvings and ancient artifacts—on social media, beckoning others to join his quest for history's greatest mysteries.
