Memorial Day is not simply a day to mark the beginning of Summer or another day to extend the weekend. Memorial Day is a day to stop, to show respect and remember the lives to so many that were sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy in the United States. Every headstone is a marker, in memory of a person and a family with a story to tell.
